Hello there!

Welcome to the Star Wars Coloring Book Project!
The end goal is a collaborative project where artists make lineart-only pieces centered around the current theme of Rest and Relaxation. When the pieces are complete, the mods will compile all the artworks into one pdf as well as a google drive folder that houses transparent pngs, and it will be available for anyone to color in (with proper credit when posting anywhere of course!).

CURRENT PROJECT STAGE: Completed!

FAQ

Q: Is this a zine?
A: unfortunately, not quite! It is zine-like in the formatting and distribution is much like a digital zine would be, but that is where the similarities stop. This is a freely distributed project, so there will be no compensation for artists other than the final product.
Q: What is this project about?
A: it's just a coloring book centered around our favorite Star Wars characters! :D
Q: What is the theme of this project?
A: as of writing this, and the start of the project, it is Rest and Relaxation. We thought it would be a nice way to give a lot of creative freedom to the artists in what that means for their characters! Of course, per the interest check, the theme is subject to change if another idea comes up.
Q: Which characters/time periods are included?
A: any and all of them! (Legends included!) For all artists we will have a time to claim topics once the artist lineup is set. There, people will be able to pick and choose which characters they want to do art of. It will most likely be limited to just a few artists per character so that we can really have a variety of subjects!
Q: What will be the main method of communication?
A: once the project has started the main way that mods will communicate with contributors will be through Discord! The socials will still be somewhat active with previews etc, but we do require any contributor to have or make a Discord account. (That does mean that Discord TOS applies and no one under 13 will be accepted onto the project.)
Q: Will there be a physical copy of this project?
A: not quite. As this project has a free end goal, there is no way for us to pay to ship it to everyone who would want a copy. You are free to print it out at your own home if you would like though! (Just make sure to credit the artists properly!)
Q: Is this project SFW?
A: YES! No NSFW themes or work will be accepted for the coloring book.
Q: What/how many contributors are you allowing?
A: that will largely depend on the results of the interest check, but we are looking to have a whole lot of artists on our team! (sorry writers, but this isn't the project for you as much as we love you.) Depending on how people vote for this to be accepted, we may have a limited number of artists join or there may be a more formal application process.
Q: What is the schedule of this project?
A: check out our "timeline" page!
Q: I have a question not answered on here, what do I do?
A: reach out to us on any of our social media sites or through email and we'll do our best to give you a prompt response!
